Disney High School Musical, Summer Celebration@ KLCC Convention Center

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at 12:13 AM

I have always like stage play or stage play musical. Its something that I enjoy very much and yet I stand a chance to go for this High School Musical that held at KLCC Convention and I was surprise by the location as I always thought this kind of event would always held at Istana Budaya or KLCC Symphony area but of course many thanks to Florence for the tickets.

No wonder that this musical play is held here that KLCC had a nice stage.

The decoration of the stage play as what it is in the movie. Me and my friends felt so young as most of the crowd that went there are children yet there are some of my friends even say me that, aiyoooo, how old liau you...some more go this kind of thing.

For me is to enjoy their performance. There wasnt much crowd in the play.

This was the lucky selected kid to be chosen on stage. She is so cute. She sang and dance with them.

Till the end of course their graduation. Some songs I have heard before and some songs no as I only watch High School Musical 3 which I think its pretty damm nice and cool. Its like a stage play in a movie and I carry such high hope to this musical play.

The musical play was not at my expectation as because when I came here, I brought the scenario of the High School Musical 3 movie in my mind but then its not bad afterall.

Mmm Yum Yum Bak Kut Teh @ First World,Genting

Okay, been eating around till best friend from Indonesia came over and decided to go to Genting, they are heading to visit Uncle Lim to try out their luck and for me is just a simple tour guide cum driver. It had been a while since last visited year with great past memory.

As night proceeding yet till they had gamble till hungry and introduce me to this food court at First World very next to the Cinema area whereby heading towards out to the outdoor theme park.

Do not know what to eat yet being very virgin in that area, so observe and survey around what do most of the people eat and turns out to be ‘BaK Kut Teh’ from this stall. Then I also decided to join the crowd. Did not know that after joining the crowd and making payment had make me tweet on it.

A very simple ‘Bak Kut Teh’ perfect to salivate in such a cold weather. Like the taste of soup base with a bit of Chinese herb yet the portion is just nice a piece of everything except the smaller things like mushroom.

Never did I notice that with their great marketing strategy that did not put up the price at their stall, had make them one of the busiest stall in the area yet I would consider one of the most expensive too. My meal cost me RM30 for such a set that include a bottle of mineral water, yau char guai, rice and the bak kut teh. This would be my first and last most expensive bak kut teh experience in Genting.

Ying Ker Lou, Hakka Cuisine @ Pavilion

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , , , , | Posted On at 11:36 PM

My best friend Desmond had organize a gathering for the past round. Many of us came with the same usual group that we used to hang out when I was working with my old company yet I am very happy that get to meet up with them again, miss the happy hour, the lepak time at office below and that was the past.

This round the chosen place is the newly open restaurant Ying Ker Lou at Pavilion which I their branch at The Curve is quite good.

Looking at the menu, I had a hard choice of choosing the food and the same with the rest tooas everything seems delicious and their decision is chin chai la..*faint

Some of us we do reach early as we enjoy our lovely conversation over a pot of tea which I like it very much with strong taste of tea is detected that can paint a layer over my tongue.

Finally, we had decided what to eat after looking at the people next to us and enjoying themselves.
We ordered 'Hakka Pun Choi' (as suddenly I forgot the english name) as this big pot can dine by 8-10 pax as there are around 8 of us as that would be the right choice.

Filled with Hakka mee, Prawns, porks, belly's and chicken.

This was the end of the road after we could not finish it not because of its too big as its because its to 'jelak' already. It was not the right choice of us to go along for this dish. Most of us find it so so only yet most of us are not full too.

The best part is when comes to paying, our Chin Chai dinner cost us RM50 each for this dish and it was a total dissapointment for me to pay for such a dish. All of us learn our lesson.

Famous Nasi Kandar Line Clear @ Penang Road, Penang

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , , | Posted On at 9:16 AM

When people mention that its not good to eat in dirty places as not a great place to dine in for hygiene purpose but Penang, there are a few places that should not be miss that with this environment they make a great food.

In my thought, I still feel that Penang still has the best Nasi Kandar compare to KL or I still have not come across any nice one yet in KL. This place, hidden in one of a very small alley had been so famous that till during my last trip back to Penang and pass numerous time the shop and the queue in the lunch time is so damm long. From inside the stall till outside till make a L shape queue to the next shop and people are hunting for it even under the hot sun.

Usually I visit this place for my supper and used to come very often till my friend got scared of me. Every time ask me where to go for supper and I would replied, LINE CLEAR. For me, I always go around 1.30am as the fried chicken is frying hot that just came out from the wok, fresh and crispy.

Since I started blogging, I have not visited this place which means for more than a year already and till last weekend go hunt for it with best friend as both of us are a fan of this shop.

If you are hungry at night, need not to fear that, this place operate 24 hours a day and 365 a year.

This would be the best sight to see of all the salivating gravy that going to shower on my rice.

This is what I meant that the crispy chicken I would not miss and its highly recommended by me. Crispy on the outside, yet soft and juicy in the inside.

When I was in the queue I was surprise to see this guy which had been so hip hop and yeng just for taking your order in the rice area.

After taking my portion, he always ask me, clear? Line clear? and my reply is always veryyyyyy clearr....

Another thing that I would not miss in this stall is this very ‘Susu Tarik with Egg’, besides this he also serve, Milo Tarik, Milo Tarik telur (good too) and one or two more choices.

Last time when I came here, there are no pictures but then now they are getting famous that, they are drawing quite a number of celebrity to their stalls.

This would be my usual portion of ‘Nasi Kandar with chicken, cabbage and ‘Daging’ and with Kuah Campur Banjir’(which mean a lot of gravy).

My favorite ‘Susu Tarik Telur’ something simple clear in milk taste yet add in an egg made the taste even better and a bit yellowish.

Total of my meal is RM7.20 but yet its very satisfying. Surely its a place that must not miss and highly recommended by me. Best time to go is at night.
