Having food marathon giving the memory of how me and my gila friends eat when out for our makan trip. 1 day 6 meals was truly a memorable which in our dictionary the word hungry was immediately deleted on that few days but when comes to this food outing which organize by Sid, this was our very first stop for lunch.

Auntie Lan

A home cook noodle type which most of the ingredient and recipe are created by themselves to extinguish themselves from others.

Honestly, judging from the menu, the foods look good and certainly one thing which caught my attention was the pricing for the food, its relative cheap.

Comes with drinks ordering, I ordered ‘Home made Winter Melon Lemon Ice’ (RM3.60 -hot/RM3.90 – ice). I just love my drink.

Then this colorful picture which nicely taken in the menu makes me order a pot of ‘Honey Ginseng Rose Tea’ (RM4.90 or RM8.90/2pax)- left pot. I just did not know that Ginseng and Rose tea would blend in so well that the ginseng did not overpower the taste of rose yet both added up to the right aroma yet when I was I was given a small pot of honey I doubt it would be good but it just surprise me that, the honey sweetness add in to the tea just make the whole pot of tea just to be perfect. I had 2 pot of this for myself.

Sloppychic ordered ‘Honey Mix Flower Tea’ (for relaxing) – (thorapple, rose and Jasmine) (RM5.90 or RM9.90/2pax) – this would have a stronger taste of jasmine tea yet the rose aroma blend in well, with the add on of a small pot of honey, just makes the difference taste of it.

I just love my pot of tea.

A simple dish like ‘Chives Fresh Prawn Fried with Egg’ (RM6.90) can turn us off away easily however it’s a very aromatic dish with the taste of egg and the chives blend in with a bit of saltiness yet the prawns was added in to give some seafood taste of sweetness in it.

Auntie Lan (7)

‘Home Made Bean Curd Skin’ (RM5.50/3pcs) is fried very crispy.

Auntie Lan (8)

‘Dry Curry Chicken Rice’ (RM8.90) just love it as how I like it to be. Not too thick curry gravy that can taste some of the santan yet its not too spicy filled with well cook potato and chicken meat is soft.

Auntie Lan (9)

If you are looking for some home cook this would be the choice ‘Home Made Hand Tear Noodles' (RM5.90)’. Mild soup base of anchovies added in of mince pork cook with hand tear noodle (which is not too flour taste) is just nice.

Auntie Lan (10)

Then for spicy lovers, you might want to try out their ‘Southern Tomyam Laksa Noodle’ (RM14.90). Spiciness of small chili with the sour’ness of lime had just make the soup base perfect. Me and sloppy were enjoying our soup.

Auntie Lan (11)

‘Sweet Soya Sauce Village Chicken Dry Noodle’ (RM9.90) when it was serve we were like woahhhhh…..the chicken drumstick is so big and me directly went to the menu and look at the price. The price and the portion serve would just say cheap. The noodle is quite springy yet not like the wan tan mee base its something unique which is not too salty and too sweet.

Auntie Lan (12)

‘Cantonese Fish Head Meehoon’ is a bit mild in taste but I love how they fried the fish head to very crispy, of course have do not let it soak on the soup for too long. (RM8.90)

Auntie Lan (14)

When comes to desert, this is their signature item ‘Home made Chinese Ball Pumpkin Dessert’ (RM4.90)

Auntie Lan (15)

Home Made Cheese Cake - Yam
Home Made Cheese Cake - Durian

It is nice to get a chance to taste on the homecook food base as this business is run the family that some of them are as a cook with experience. With the price tag on it, sure I do not mind to go back again.
