This trip back to Penang I have not much time to hunt back my favourite food but manage to go for my favourite restaurant. Bali Hai @ Gurney. They had a few signature dish that I always would order. For those who are going to Penang for this festive season, MUST not miss this nice restaurant because they do serve fresh seafood, instead of most of the time, penangites will drive to Tambun for fresh seafood. This restaurant is another alternative.
The taste of it, is just similar what I eat back in Melbourne, Chinatown which is the restaurant is called Desert House. Lol. For those who are in Melbourne you should know.
The taste of the Wong Kam is rich with century egg, butter smell, and when you lick it, the taste of butter and the century egg will just stick on your tongue and slowly melt. With saltiness yet the 'harumness' of the taste kam hiong leaves, you must just not miss this.
This restaurant worth to go, cuz they do have first class service, 3 table to 1 waiter/waitress. When ever your plate is dirty, they will directly change for you to a new plate. Five star service you can expect and the waiter and waitress there are definitely friendly. Suits my dad cuz he loves to talk alot to people.
If you had not a fresh seafood on that night, please do complain, as we do get RM40 off on our bill, whereby we just paid around RM96 after complain of the curry fish head. Cuz customer is their priority.
Location:
This restaurant is Located along Gurney whereby it is in the middle of that stretch.
If you coming from Gurney Hotel(left) go straight and after you see Pelita Mamak, slow down. It is nearby there
If you are coming from Gurney Plaza(right) you will have to past Silverton Condo, and bout 300Meter, it is just nearby there.

Food rating 8.5/10 , GOOD
- WARNING --This is based on my individual taste. Try it at your own risk-
Never knew that we could get a rebate off the bill if the food is not fresh...thats a good sign of keeping their customers...thanks for sharing this info.
