MacD @ Hong Kong

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On Saturday, May 30, 2009 at 11:17 AM

I have been always told by my friend saying that if go to Hong Kong must try out the MacD. Cuz got PORK! So the lunch we grab MacD nearby my hotel there. The best thing about their MacD also they got their very own Mac Cafe. Which is I can see that selected outlets and the one that I went heard my friend said that the coffee there is better than StarBucks.

This is the 'Pork McMuffin'. Which is the only pork thing that they have as another 1 is 'Double Ham Burger' out of stock..ISHH!!! The other looks more tempting and delicious. So No choice have to grab this. To me actually it is not much different compare to the daily MacD breakfast that we are eating everyday. Nothing special to comment about it. The medium set is HKD 28

But this my order. 'Quater Pounder'. Medium Set HKD30. I think that Malaysia version is nicer and taste better especially the beef pattie. The grilling process not as juicy and cheezy as what I had. But their concept of the burger is for healthy purpose. When you eat it at least you wont feel guilty..haha

I am totally impress by the taste of 'Grilled Chicken Burger'. It is like when we eat Ramlee burger chicken but this is the Chinese version of Ramleee burger I would rate. Taste very good. The chicken breast meat is soft and grill to perfection, the sauce that mix in it taste very good. I would say that it is a item worth trying.

Find that their box is nice~ Even though do not know what are they writing on the box besides the Grilled Chicken Burger.

The 'Grilled Chicken Burger'

I found out that the website of MacD Hong Kong version is very nicely done.Worth to check it out~

Day 2 Mong Kok Eating Spree Continue

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , , | Posted On at 1:57 AM

Second day of our trip. As we wake up early and gather ready to go and hunt for food. Previously at Mong Kok I did spot a shop there already as it was quite packed with people but I think every shop also was packed with ppl that night.

While we reached LangHam Place to go for shopping and we found out that we were too early. Most of the shop had not open yet so we went to look for breakfast. Ask around for the stall on the street where will he recommend us to eat and he ask us walk walk walk further down bout 2 blocks away and turn right.

So ended up in Mong Kok again for the first night when we came out from the subway tunnel. Then I instantly point to the shoop that I spotted before and ask every 1 go in and eat.

I don know how to read chinese so what the heck. Just take pictures and post it up. The funny thing in the restaurant is always 'A Chan', 'B Chan', 'C Chan' means like set A or B or C. Really a Hong kong tea house. Kekekek.

As for me, I only know how to see and point. A half banana like me which know how to speak but do not know how to read, so the only thing to rely on during order food of course is the Pictures. If the pictures quality is good and the food take tempting and come out SUCKS also no choice.

If I am not mistaken this is 'Set G' HKD 20 which is 1 'Milk Tea' and 'Polo Bun'. First thing first. I must say that the milk tea here is far much nicer that any of the restaurant in Malaysia can offer. 10x better than Kim Gary or watever Hong kong restaurant we have. The thickness of the tea and the milk taste is just there. A satisfying drink to start off with.

and of course my very favourite and not to be miss during in Hong Kong which is of course the 'Polo Pau'. The top, is perfectly backed and the crust is sweet, the bun is soft and the butter is melting to suits the taste of it. One bite will just take your breath away. This might not be the best polo bauz in the area but to me, it is satisfying though which I had 2.

This is what I order besides the Set G. The name is 'Jar Jiang Mian' if not mistaken, and the taste to me till today is still fresh in my mind and craving for more of it. The best thing is the noodle of course, it is curley curley and just don know how to tell why the wantan noodle in Hong Kong is much better than in Malaysia. The meat is soft, the sauce is sour and abit spicy. When you mix and stir it together, you just want to have more of it. HKD 24

My friend order the 'Koey Teow Soup' Noting fancy about it. The soup is like plain water, the koey toew is normal. Plain plain like dat also around HKD 24.

Next of course not to be miss in Hong Kong which is a MUST eat food. 'Wan Tan Noodle'. As I say on the Jar Jiang Mian above the noodle is just so nice and curley curley and you can just bite the strand of it. It is abit solid which makes you want to salivate more of the noodle. The soup base is good, which had the taste of wantan and they are surely not to kiam siap on the WanTan. Inside it, is filled with 2 big prawns and the taste of it, you would just want to ask for more. 3 is not enough, to satisfaction you need another 2 which makes just ngam ngam. HKD 24

The last dish which is thing the look is kinda funny, 'Macaroni with Ham'. I feel like the soup taste really macaroni and the ham is just ham. Noting much to comment on this as I only try the soup base.

and of course.. all of us are very full and satisfy with our breakfast...Time to Head to SHOPPING!!!!!!!

Wai Sek Kai Revisit @ Jln Pudu

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On at 12:47 AM

Previously when I went to Wai Sek Kai, this stall didnt open. It is 1 of my favourite stall. So decided to go there again last week to salivate the ..........

'Orrr Kuih' which is soft and the yam taste of it is there. Will be very nice to mix with the chili sauce and sweet sauce 'Tim Cheong'.

This is the curry pig skin which is one of the famous food in this stall.

Here comes my food. 'Curry Chee Cheong Fun with Pig Skin' . The taste of the curry is mild and a bit sweet which goes along very well with the chee cheong fun and the pig skin just cook well to its softness. I drink till to the last drop of it. RM2.80

This is what I mean the 'Orrr Kuih' or 'Yam Cake' if I am right. One of my favourite. RM 1.20 for this.

Of course to close my meal with a very nice kuih which is just next to the stall.

Didnt try before the 'Yau Char Kuai' before so no idea. Judge by the look of the goreng'ness I think should be good. :)

This is the stall that next to it sell the kuih.

This is my favourite of all in this stall. Like it to the max. The coconut inside it is just sweet to perfection which had been mix with brown sugar and the skin of it is just delicate and the coconut is just to mix with it very good ah... RM0.70
For the food its cheap I find it very reasonable cheap and nice, as other food review please click here

Genre: Crime/ Drama / Mystery /Thriller

For those who love drama, I must say that I am impressed about this movie. It is a great movie. About Tom Hanks (Robert Langdon) who is a Professor expert in symbolism. He was brought in by the Vatican Police to help them solve the recent kidnapping and the dead of the Pope.

This movie is about solving the next killing area of the victims. My eyes was wide open for the whole 2 hours. I would say that this movie is better than Da Vinci Code.

Duck Rice, Restaurant Sun Ming @ Taman Connaught,Cheras

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On at 12:36 AM

Within a week, the K&K and her gang introduce me to eat Duck rice again. As what they said it is much nicer that then 1 in Taman Desa. Then wokayyy..just go lah, with lots of people following then reach that area. It is at Cheras nearby UCSI college there as I recognize the place. It was lucky that the parking space was just nice for the 3 of the cars.

It was early when we reach the shop, was like around 12pm and already half full. The people ta pau’ing, the queue is building up.

We manage to get a big table and guess what. Within 15 minutes after we were seated, the ppl just flock into the kopitiam and turn it into like pasar with suddenly so many ppl and so noisy.

If you feel that, duck is not enough for you, the side order area looks tempting. With the don know what and what as I know how to point and eat.

The duck was gone fast.

The person is working hard by chopping and chopping non stop, busy working during lunch time. Wonder if he can use his hand to chop a person to make he/she faint instantly.

Ahhhh….here is my favourite. Never eat duck rice without this ‘Chai Boey ’ I know how to call it in Hokkien only. Sorry haa..cantonese a bit poor. The taste is veli good ah..the soup is sour to the taste, abit spicy with the dry chili, the sour veggie is cook to perfection. Ngam ngam soft. A good soup to start off with, open up appetite.

Here comes the ‘Char Siew’. By looking at it I was like mouth watering. When got serve onto the table, I was the first 1 to tax the char siew. The meat is soft, with the fats thin layer and layer makes it so good but don really like the char siew sauce.

The ‘Roast Pork’ is very nice also. The curst is crispy, the pork is soft and bite already feel juicy abit. Not so dry. Again, the layer of fats is just good.

Lastly of course the main dish had arrive. The ‘Duck’. I must say that the duck meat here taste much better than the 1 in Taman Desa. The meat is tender and soft yet you can bite the roast taste out of it. The duck aroma is there, the skin is good till I was like walaping it non stop.

Over all the food here is totally good. As I get to dine for free again, was treated by one friend and the total bill came around RM145 as I know and was share by around 9 people. All the food is serve 2 each. I feel that the price is reasonable. . Highly Recommended

Sin Kee Kitchen @ Taman Desa,KL

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , | Posted On Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 1:22 AM

Excited about Friday as always cuz it is WEEKEND~ so my new partner in crime the double K which is Kebbie and Karen a.k.a Kalan(a gigantic eater yet slim like hell)...ahhaha...They know that I love food so they brought me here and Karen was waiting for her friend to come. I gilar sial diver who ownes a coffee shop Kopitiam Kuan Yew

So here we are, at Taman Desa where I did not know got nice food to eat but its their territory so just go la..never ask much. So while waiting for Kalan friend so arleady hungry and start eating at the road side food. The 'Chee Cheong Fun'. Too hungry till I forgot to capture the pic of it. It is nice, and cheap. No Complain at all.
Food rating 7.5/10 , Good ah..Not Bad~

Then they directly hantam the stall beside.

The 'Tau Fu Far'. I tell you, the tau fu far is just so smooth like babies backside. So soft and nice. The white suger syrup is with ginger. So good for those ppl who got infected by fake N1H1. Ginger is good for those got flu. RM1.50

That guy was 20 minutes late. So head to our very original place we wanted to go. Its Sing Kee Kitchen which they said its famous for Duck Rice.

This are the temptation duck hanging around. Waiting to be slain and walap by us.

I thought they were only selling duck rice but to my surprise also this are their side order.

and here......

and here..........

and the very first order that came was the 'Curry Chicken'. The spiciness lvl is there. Not too hot yet just nice and not to santanese. Goes perfectly well with rice and the chicken is soft and potato is ngam ngam cook.

Then the rice is good. The K&K donate their rice to me. Half each from them so that makes me makan 2 bowl of rice and from just now the chee cheong fun and tau fu far havent digest they pour everything in...Chi Sin..me not monster~

Here comes the dish of the day. The 'Char Siew and Siew Yuk'. The char siew I would not prefer that much is it is quite meaty and not too much fats so makes it like eating pork , the sauce that goes along with it is not really nice, not the kind that I prefer and of course the Siew yuk would be better, the crust of the tip is crispy and the fats is just nice.

The main dish of the day. 'Whole Duck' is serve on the table. The duck skin is roast to okayness and the duck meat would not be so hard nor soft. The sauce that goes along on the duck so so but still prefer the 1 I ate in Penang.

This is another side order, which is I don really how to call this. But if you mix the sauce with curry chicken, and mix it with rice...sure do you can just walap the whole bowl of rice without any problem. The pork meat is soft, nicely cook to perfection.

Lastly that guy order 'Caramel Pudding' for Kalan saying that its one of the signature of the shop. Then we tried that it is so so only. The taste of caramel is not strong like onli 25% and the pudding is soft but yet I feel taste a bit weird. I do not really eat pudding but was just giving a try. Not bad I would say.
At the end of the meal I do not know what is the price of the meal cuz was paid by that Kopitiam owner. Thanks to you~ but what I was told is, a plate of normal duck rice cost aorund RM5.50-7.50 without any side dish.

Food rating 7.5/10 , Okay ah..Not Bad~

Monster vs Aliens

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On Thursday, May 21, 2009 at 1:07 AM

Genre:Animation

For the very first time I won a pair of movie tickets from Nuffnang. It was a premier show and gladly manage to watch it first before everyone.
This is my special invites that I got from Nuffnang.

and of course trying to learn Bob, swallowing the words, me trying to swallow my tickets. The quote that I learn from him. 'I might have no brain but I have ideas'

The movie is about a girl, Susan got hit by a meteorite and not long after that she had grow to a giant and was capture by the government where they think she is a monster now, imprison in a facility. There she met Dr. Cockroach a mad scientist accidentally transformed himself into a roach-human, B.O.B a gelatinous, brainless, but talkative mass brought to life in an experiment gone wrong, Missing Link a Creature-from-the-Black-Lagoon-like lizard man and the skyscraper-sized mutant larva Insectosaurus.

Then in order for the alien overlord Gallaxhar to conquer the galaxy, he had follow the powerfull meteorite to the earth and there is where he invaded the earth.

For the end of the movie, I would say that this is sure a damm funny movie, especially Bob during the last part of the show and of course he was the eye catcher in the movie. You will laugh till you drop. After came out from the movie my friend told me I am just like Bob..Shit!!! but then still don mind a person that make every 1 laugh in the whole movie. We watch it in 3-D version.
But sure think that watch in 3-D would be better than 2-D. It does not matter. Both is good as long as long as you MUST watch this movie.

Thanks to Nuffnang for the invitation~
