Few weeks ago, while I was waiting for my friend to yam cha at Bucks Sunway, then I saw this restaurant and the best thing is with UOB credit card holder get’s 50% on selected items. So went to check out on the menu, which is kind of tempting and will be back for it.
Wahhh..the picture taken in there makes me want to order quite a lot of the stuff and the best part is the beverage area. Everything looks good.
So it was a call that went to try out this shop. With all the staff being friendly by greeting you ‘Huan Ying’(welcome in mandarin) then went to sit on the on the comfy sofa area nearby the window so comfy till forgot to take pic of this area.
Their interior is quite comfy and relaxing and compares to Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant of course the environment here is much better.
For the smokers of course you guys got advantage that they do have outdoor area overlook on the Sunway Lagoon entrance but I still find it quite okay with the ceiling fan install above wont be too warm. Although I am not a smoker I don’t mind to sit there. .
The menu is quite plan from the outside but once you open in it, its like..Wahhh..the picture taken in there makes me want to order quite a lot of the stuff and the best part is the beverage area. Everything looks good.
This was as seen in the picture 'Vanilla with Strawberry Pure'. The taste is quite milky like vanilla ice-cream, yet with the strawberry puree it makes the whole drink taste good. Not too sweet but its something like Strawberry McFlury in softer version. Which charge at RM6.90
In my mind always go to Taiwan Restaurant is always Milk Tea with pearl but this time in the illustration picture on the beverage makes me change my mind and choose 'Mixed Fruit Tea' which I find it quite unique and wondering is the taste gonna be the same that I have tasted before in Winter Warmers. RM 5.90

By the name itself is mix fruit but you can just see a lot of fruits inside the drink but doesn’t gives any taste of mix fruit as the tea taste is quite strong and covers most of the fruit aroma. The taste is quite pale like the taste of ‘Chinese tea’ kopitiam version. Name is interesting but taste so so.
Me and my cacated hair to be blog on it.
On the left one is the ‘Taiwan Chili Sauce’ which is spicy and will make your nose high abit like wasabi, a bit salty but just perfect to eat with noodles or tim sum. The one on the right is ‘Taiwan Fish Sauce’ which I think its slightly better than the spicy 1. It is mild in taste, you can find anchovies and small dried shrimps in there. Abit salty yet mild spicy fragrance which I prefer this more but my friend she prefer the other 1 more. Individual taste.
In the menu, what was the eye catcher was this 'Bamboo Pumpkin Bun' looks like very nice and well steam. So hantam la….Well, did not got disappointed also, as in what I see in the pic is what I get as in the menu above. I can say that, the skin is quite sticky like it stuck on the chopstick, it has been steam till very soft and wont melt but stuck in your mouth too. The prawns and the meat in there is not stingy. It was very filling and eat along with the Taiwan sauce or chili sauce is very nice! With the price of RM 8.90 I feel its reasonable.
As usual, TW food set is always comes with a few variety to make sure you are going back with a full stomach. So I ordered 'Fried Pork Chop with Wine Set' thought that with wine will be a bit special. RM18.90 (50% off on UOB credit card so its RM9.45)
It looks nice while got serve and smells good too. I squeeze the lemon given also. I ate the first piece without lemon could not taste any much taste. Its well fried and golden brown on the outside with some sprinkle of the mix spices and the meat outer layer is in red colour showing the signs of wine but too bad. Doesn’t taste anything like it. With the lemon squeeze onto it, it taste slightly better but still couldn’t pull up the taste.

On left is the fried chicken, then the rice with some mince meat with the sauce which I think I have eaten a taste which is better than this. On the cold appetizer, ‘Sotong’ is the best among those 3 which is sour, spicy and fresh of the sotongness gives you the spongy biting. The wantan is over fried abit and lastly the soup I drink 2 mouth and stop as high lvl of ajinamoto detected.
Then my friend ordered 'Sweet Braised Squid Set'. Which looks good, it was nicely fried on the outer layer with some sprinkle of sesame seed which definitely the aroma got suck into it and the sauce is a bit sweet sweet. Eat it mouth like that you will find it doesn’t go along to eat naked but with rice it taste much nicer. The sotong is chewy which I find it quite nice but my friend didnt like it, to me I find it okay~ Cost RM19.90 (50% off on UOB credit card so its RM9.95)
The whole eating spree I find it quite relaxing and to chat in there. With the friendly staff they got as I drop my chopstick 3 times the instantly bring it to me. Total bill comes up to RM47.25 which I think its reasonable for a try out(including 10% service charge and 5%gov tax). I wont mind going back to revisit but some where in the near future.
