I always anticipated for Chinese movie as I feel that now its very hard to catch a good Chinese movie. I love comedy but currently showing is this…. But what surprise me in this movie also that Jack Neo is also one of the production ppl.

In this movie is about the high tech hearing device that tap on the money laundering, wash away drug lords money. Then the conversation of the big boss owner giving tips of a share market will increase rapidly and things turns bad from there. Daniel Wu and Louis Khoo went to invest and chow long jor. Things got dirty, they nearly died and blab la. Watch it yourself

The best thing in this movie shows about love 3 triangle and underground relationship.(is this what is happening in or the trend in HK now)

Can watch this movie in DVD or go for Cinema. It’s a choice.

Xian Ting Wei Tw Tea Room @ Sunway Pyramid

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , , | Posted On at 12:56 AM

Few weeks ago, while I was waiting for my friend to yam cha at Bucks Sunway, then I saw this restaurant and the best thing is with UOB credit card holder get’s 50% on selected items. So went to check out on the menu, which is kind of tempting and will be back for it.

So it was a call that went to try out this shop. With all the staff being friendly by greeting you ‘Huan Ying’(welcome in mandarin) then went to sit on the on the comfy sofa area nearby the window so comfy till forgot to take pic of this area.

Their interior is quite comfy and relaxing and compares to Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant of course the environment here is much better.

For the smokers of course you guys got advantage that they do have outdoor area overlook on the Sunway Lagoon entrance but I still find it quite okay with the ceiling fan install above wont be too warm. Although I am not a smoker I don’t mind to sit there. .

The menu is quite plan from the outside but once you open in it, its like..
Wahhh..the picture taken in there makes me want to order quite a lot of the stuff and the best part is the beverage area. Everything looks good.

This was as seen in the picture 'Vanilla with Strawberry Pure'. The taste is quite milky like vanilla ice-cream, yet with the strawberry puree it makes the whole drink taste good. Not too sweet but its something like Strawberry McFlury in softer version. Which charge at RM6.90
In my mind always go to Taiwan Restaurant is always Milk Tea with pearl but this time in the illustration picture on the beverage makes me change my mind and choose 'Mixed Fruit Tea' which I find it quite unique and wondering is the taste gonna be the same that I have tasted before in Winter Warmers. RM 5.90

By the name itself is mix fruit but you can just see a lot of fruits inside the drink but doesn’t gives any taste of mix fruit as the tea taste is quite strong and covers most of the fruit aroma. The taste is quite pale like the taste of ‘Chinese tea’ kopitiam version. Name is interesting but taste so so.

Me and my cacated hair to be blog on it.
On the left one is the ‘Taiwan Chili Sauce’ which is spicy and will make your nose high abit like wasabi, a bit salty but just perfect to eat with noodles or tim sum. The one on the right is ‘Taiwan Fish Sauce’ which I think its slightly better than the spicy 1. It is mild in taste, you can find anchovies and small dried shrimps in there. Abit salty yet mild spicy fragrance which I prefer this more but my friend she prefer the other 1 more. Individual taste.
In the menu, what was the eye catcher was this 'Bamboo Pumpkin Bun' looks like very nice and well steam. So hantam la….Well, did not got disappointed also, as in what I see in the pic is what I get as in the menu above. I can say that, the skin is quite sticky like it stuck on the chopstick, it has been steam till very soft and wont melt but stuck in your mouth too. The prawns and the meat in there is not stingy. It was very filling and eat along with the Taiwan sauce or chili sauce is very nice! With the price of RM 8.90 I feel its reasonable.
As usual, TW food set is always comes with a few variety to make sure you are going back with a full stomach. So I ordered 'Fried Pork Chop with Wine Set' thought that with wine will be a bit special. RM18.90 (50% off on UOB credit card so its RM9.45)

It looks nice while got serve and smells good too. I squeeze the lemon given also. I ate the first piece without lemon could not taste any much taste. Its well fried and golden brown on the outside with some sprinkle of the mix spices and the meat outer layer is in red colour showing the signs of wine but too bad. Doesn’t taste anything like it. With the lemon squeeze onto it, it taste slightly better but still couldn’t pull up the taste.
On left is the fried chicken, then the rice with some mince meat with the sauce which I think I have eaten a taste which is better than this. On the cold appetizer, ‘Sotong’ is the best among those 3 which is sour, spicy and fresh of the sotongness gives you the spongy biting. The wantan is over fried abit and lastly the soup I drink 2 mouth and stop as high lvl of ajinamoto detected.
Then my friend ordered 'Sweet Braised Squid Set'. Which looks good, it was nicely fried on the outer layer with some sprinkle of sesame seed which definitely the aroma got suck into it and the sauce is a bit sweet sweet. Eat it mouth like that you will find it doesn’t go along to eat naked but with rice it taste much nicer. The sotong is chewy which I find it quite nice but my friend didnt like it, to me I find it okay~ Cost RM19.90 (50% off on UOB credit card so its RM9.95)
The whole set of the dish which is similiar to mine.

The whole eating spree I find it quite relaxing and to chat in there. With the friendly staff they got as I drop my chopstick 3 times the instantly bring it to me. Total bill comes up to RM47.25 which I think its reasonable for a try out(including 10% service charge and 5%gov tax). I wont mind going back to revisit but some where in the near future.

Kedai Makanan Tian Kee @ Salak South

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: | Posted On Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 2:04 AM

I have always heard them mention pan mee quite a number of times till they actually bring me here. When on they way, the feeling game me was, how dalam dalam is this place. It is actually located inside some where of no where inside a housing area.

Do not have to worry about the parking of this place. There are plenty of it.

They were the auntie punya customer. So she kinda know’s what they are ordering. As usual.

I see them getting ready with the chop stick and this chili in front of them to rape the food. The chili is quite spicy yet abit sour with lime taste but taste very well with the pan mee.

So what they eat I also follow lah~ ‘Pan Mee’ add egg and mince pork. To me, honestly, I don feel that it is so so only on this dish, as I have eaten pan mee which taste much better. A bit plain on the soup base, I did add some soy sauce and it taste a bit better. Don really taste any anchovies in the soup. RM4.50(if not mistaken)

Then again, what they drink also what I drink ‘Double Kam Kat Suin Mui’ RM2 which is a perfect combo for the mee.

Then Karen said that the stall infront of this makcik is nice. So try also loh. Quite a variety we hantam.

The sauce that were given to eat along with the fried taufu. There is something unique about the sauce, it just taste different, I do not know how to describe it, goes very well with the taufu.

The ‘Fried Taufu’ RM1 5pieces if not mistaken. Which is quite cheap. Well fried, hot from the wok and eat perfectly well with the sauce given.

Then I also try out the ‘Nasi Lemak’ which cost only RM1. Not much nice fragrance on the rice but the best part is the sambal. Not really spicy, taste a bit sweet, filled with abit of anchovies aroma and eat along with the rice. It is quite plain but noting to complain about.

After finish eating our lunch, as usual the Karen is always the hungry 1..ta pau some more for her gigantic stomac. The ‘Goreng Pisang’ which also just friend yit lat lat which you can cium the bau of the banana when it was brought up and the

‘Karipop’ is just quite plain. Noting to comment on it. Only one thing for this stall, the price of the food is very cheap, so got noting to complain about even though its plain. With the kind of pricing cannot expect much. Total that she paid from the nasi lemak till the very far end is less than RM7. The amount of food taken is exactly in the pic taken.

Uncle Duck @ Low Yatt Plaza, KL

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , | Posted On Monday, July 27, 2009 at 8:54 AM

What I have been told that this shop serve nice duck rice by my friend. So last 2 weeks I was around and had a late lunch, so head to Low Yatt Plaza to try out as my friends want to get some hardware around there.

The restaurant was packed even though it was late lunch.

In the menu, offer variety of Hong Kong Food range with the usual, curry fish ball, fish ball soup and others.

So the recommended dish by my friend is this. Their set lunch 'Duck Rice Set' which cost RM6.90 comes with a drink(Ribena). Honestly, I didnt like the duck as it taste like overnight duck. It was a bit not fresh, the skin is soft and geli. The only next best thing is the 'Lat Chiew Yau(chili Sauce)' which I requested 2 plates.

Overall, the taste is so so only. Wouldn't be as nice as I eat the one in Taman Counnaught.

Genre: Comedy/ Romance

As watch on the preview, this show did not disappoint all of us~ Indeed it was a great love comedy movie. With lots of funny terms you can learn. It’s a great laugh all the way.

The story is about childhood lover Jennifer Garner and Matthew McConaughey, his parents past away, things start to change from that moments. In the process of growing up a lot of things had changed. The two got separated and yet still like each other.
Then appear 3 ghost, one from the past, one from the present and one from the future. A few of touchy part but overall I enjoy this movie.

Have to say thanks to Nuffnang again for the special invitation!~
Can watch it in cinema, movie day or DVD.

Fong Lye Taiwan Restaurant @ The Gardens

I used to be very curious when every time I walk pass this restaurant for couple of times before trying it last year. There were always huge crowds waiting outside this restaurant. I have revisited this restaurant numerous times as most of my friends like this. Then bring my parents to try out the variety here.

While we were seated outside and waiting patiently, this time I am quite surprise that, they actually have some one served Lime Juice to the entire waiting customer. So each of us grab one and my dad instantly fell in love with that drink (which is one of my favorite)

My dad were pretty impress by the design of the restaurant and keep kutuk this restaurant saying that ‘why this restaurant have so many customer ha?’ So nice meh? So good meh?’ then told him that, after you try then let me know.

This place as always packed with ppl no matter what time and day.

The food menu offered had wide range to choose from. It ranges from snack, to main course, sets and to deserts (which is pretty impressive).

My mom try out the 'Apple Yogurt' which is a bit thick in taste but rich with apple flavor. A smart way to bring out the fragrance of it. RM7.30

My sister ordered 'Papaya Milk' which I find it quite geli at first. Blend then some more add milk…Yucks! But after were force by my sis to try it out, the taste is quite impressive, while you drinks it, you are able to suck out the mini cubes of papaya and the taste of milk is to make it sweet. Quite a nice drink that I would recommend. RM7.30

'Sweet Potato Ball' this has always been a hit with most of the customer that I would say its their signature item. This has to be eaten hot. Real hot, this can just burn your tongue. For the first time I ate this, I throw the whole ball into my mouth and my tongue got burn after that. A sign of greedy’ness without realizing the consequence. This is good as the outer layer is a bit crispy and the filling inside is soft. RM5.30

'Baked Sausage' is something that I always enjoy to eat as Taiwan snacks but for this sausage, there is nothing special to comment about as I find it quite plan which I prefer those in pasar malam. RM6.30

'Beef Soup Dumpling' is far one of the most geli food I dine in here. The skin is thick on the outer layer and the filling inside is a bit cold (not warm even), the soup base is just salty. Only manage to finish 2 biji. Totally banned this item from my list! RM9.80

'Taiwan Pig Intestine Mee Sua' is my high time favorite dish in here. The soup is thick and filled with the mini layer of intestine that had been cook to its softness, a bit chewy and not smelly. Goes along very well with the taste. RM9.80

This is 'Fried Rice with Rice Wine'. It looks baldly plain, but certainly it has the ‘wok hei’ in the rice and was fried to perfection with the fragrance of rice wine detected. When it got served, it was finish within minutes. RM12.80

Another signature of the restaurant which is 'Fresh Tomato Fried Egg with Fish' My mom ordered this as she always like to eat something with fish. The sauce of it, goes very well with the rice as tangy, sour and sweet. The egg was fried to its softness that my sis and dad keep attacking the egg. The fish was very soft showing the sign of fresh fish they are using. Always been a hit to the crowd. Highly Recommended! RM19.80

Then my dad took the 'Spare Rips with Sweet & Sour Sauce' Spare rips was fried to its crispy and again fried along with the sauce. The fragrance of the sweet and sour sauce just melted in the ribs and while eating it, the fragrance just travels along in your mouth. The ribs is good. RM19.80

Most of the meal serve with its mini side dish. There will be a slight different ranges from different sets.
'BBQ Drumstick' For this dish, is noting special that we thought off. Just a normal bbq chicken, noting special on the sauce but surely it was grilled to its perfection. RM19.80

One of my bro, sis and my favourite. It is something like gorden blue in the western food menu but amend it to the Taiwan version which turns out to be 'Cheesy Pork Chop Rice' Fried rice was well fried filled with wok hei, not too salty in the inside and the fragrance of egg that wraps on it add on the taste. My sister were very excited when saw my bro cutting on the pork cullet with the cheese melting out and she starts attacking on that part. The pork was fried to golden brown and the meat is soft that combines very well with the cheese. Highly Recommended! RM19.80

My sister order 'Miso Fish Set' as she is like my mom, loves fish a lot. There are 2 pieces of cod fish, The sauce they are using to paint on top of it is taste perfect and the cod fish was grill just nice. When cut it out its soft on the inside and we found out that one piece is fresh the other piece is so so. My sister enjoys it a lot~ RM29.80

At the end of the day, the last meal was served 'Taiwan Minced Meat Sos Noodle' which we find it nothing special. The mince meat is something normal which you can taste it anywhere outside and although the noodle is very soft and nice but just could not find the kick in it. RM17.80

At the end of the meal, every 1 is just so full. Satisfied with the food and quality they have.

Ice Age - Dawn of The Dinasaurs (3-D)

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , , | Posted On Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 11:51 AM

Genre: Animation/ Adventure/ Comedy/ Family

Ice Age 3 is a very nice movie. As always that squirrel is the trademark of the film which is always ‘gong gong tai tai’ look on its face and this time, adding in another character which is the female makes the movie even funnier.

By watching on 3-D version which a few blogger recommend on it, I am impress of the effect that taken effect and especially with the baby dinosaur. Its just so cute. You will get to laugh quite a lot.

Among so many animation movies, I still feel that, Ice Age still has the consistent to maintain its trademark. Enjoy myself on this cute movie. Would say tat not a waste to watch in 3-D version.

Pappa Rich @ Sunway Pyramid

Posted by Taufulou | Labels: , | Posted On at 12:19 AM

Concept kopitiam industry had been a boom at the moment. You can just see every where or corner is filled with different name and concept that they have. After Old Town, I believe Pappa Rich is one of their very next competitor. By hearing saying that the food is not bad, and my parents thought of something light to eat, so decided to choose this 1.

Compare to Old Town, I liked their interior design more, gives you comfy feeling and surely a great place to hang out.

When I look into the drinks menu, the name of the drink 'Longan Milk Honey Ice' caught my attention on ordering it. Something unique. A warning to those who have obesity. Please do not order this. The drink is damm sweet. It feels like you are drinking sugar syrup. I only manage to drink a few sips. That’s all. If the sugar lvl decrease by 70%, I think it would surely taste nice. RM6.90

When this 'Roti Steam Kaya' was served to my dad, my impression was, roti Bangkali(an Indian with the motorcycle selling bread) is served. Nothing special on this yet it cost RM4.50.

'Nissin Noodle Fried Sausage n Chicken' was my order. It is the far most plain ever dish that I have eaten in a restaurant which you can just cook yourself at home. Tasteless yet watery and the vegie did not wash clean. Cost RM 7.90 which I think is very expensive compare to those in Kim Garry or other Hong Kong restaurant or Old Town.

My mom was a very chin chai person when comes to food, but she irk about this 'Mee Soup Foo Chuck n Fish Cake' which is very salty. She said that its like eating a bowl of salt which I also tried, its really like putting your mouth taste some sea water. RM8.90

My bro had this 'Pappa Chicken Chop' and only one word for this. No comment or simply plain! RM15.90

'Pappa Cendul' Talking about cendul, thought that with its classy look of the restaurant and the serving of desert wouldn’t be disappointing yet it proves me correct. The ice did not blend very smooth, yet when you put it your mouth is like ice crush. If directly swallow, chances of throat damage might happen. The gula Melaka is very sweet which put too much. The santan taste a bit weird. Did not finish also. RM5.50
'Tau Foo Fa Tong Yuen' always remain one of my big time favorite. For this case, I just don like the taste of its soya. The skin of the tong yuen is too thick like eating flour than the filling in it!RM5.90 till the end, I still think the 1 in pasar malam taste much better than this.

My family and I had most disappointing meal and I would rate worst ever eaten so far yet with the price tag on each of the meal and drinks, its overprice and also have to pay gov tax and service charge. Definately BANNED this branch. Would not return anymore.

Maybe would try other outlets, since there are a few of my friends saying that they taste much better than Old Town but still prefer Old Town alot.
