Hung Kee is one of a classic restaurant that have been operating for more than 40 years in the market. When you talk about such duration, not many operating restaurants are able to maintain that long in recent market. Therefore, it had been a word of the mouth thing from near and far that quite a number of people recommend me about this place or even sometimes in a conversation, they are people mentioning about it too. Even though I pass that shop daily but it did not came across my mind that I wanted to try out until last week, I ask my brother about it and he said it was so so only, but since A lot of people recommend so just try it out.

Hung Kee (2)

The classic type of kopitiam style with its marble table and wooden chairs yet if you feel that you need air condition room, it is next to this shop but with very limited place.

Hung Kee (3)

‘Kam Kat’ drink is very nice, as it was squash first then add in and created a very nice flavor in it. I had 2 glass of this.

Hung Kee (4)

My brother recommend that this is a must order dish ‘Mushroom Chicken Feet’. I cannot deny that what he recommended was good, as the chicken feet and mushroom was cook till very soft. It was flavorful that it taste a bit of Chinese herbs taste yet soak well it. I enjoy eating it.

Hung Kee (5)

You can order ‘Sui Kow’ by how many pieces you want as there is not limitation in a bowl. The taste of the soup do not have the wan tan mee feel but the filling in it quite compact yet just taste so so .

Hung Kee (7)

‘Char Siew Wan Tan Mee’ is the very normal version of it, if you order this, you must tambah order of char siew as it taste very good. Fats of char siew is 1/3 of the whole piece of meat yet it taste very nice cover with char siew sauce, soft and juicy. I did order another place with extra char siew. The noodle is not that springy as it has to be but it definately have their own ingredients for it as it is quite thin yet not bad.

Hung Kee (8)

They were pretty generous with the wantan given on each place as it have 5 pieces in each bowl.

Hung Kee (6)

‘Duck Meat Wan Tan Mee’ is not bad too me as my brother like it. To me, I do not like the duck meat as it is mild in taste yet the meat is a bit hard not juicy.

Hung Kee (9)

As I remember that most of the stalls have curry version, so I order another extra bowl to try out their ‘Curry Wan Tan Mee’. I love this very much, as the curry is spicy yet not to the extend is flaming hot(I added the curry chili given) , yet the soup base serve is at near boiling point(which I like my noodle soup base to be hot that can burn your tongue). This definitely is recommended by me~

The food there is quite okay and we did enjoy our meal. Total bill came around RM23. It is advisable that to go there a bit early on weekend as the crowd can be crazy yet the parking space is very limited, you can park directly behind the shop alley.
